Dental Implants
Implants are an excellent option for replacing one or more lost teeth.
They look and feel as close to your natural teeth as possible.
They can be used to hold dentures in place and can be indicated for both front and back teeth.
What is the procedure?
It is a two step process:
Step 1: Implant placement – A titanium or a titanium alloy fixture is fitted and left to fuse with the jaw bone
Step 2: Implant restoration - Once the implant has fused and healed against the jaw bone, a tooth crown/ tooth replica is fitted onto the implant. For dentures, the second step involves fitting the dentures to the implants.
Some clinical and radiographical investigations are required to determine if implants are suitable for tooth/ teeth replacement. Your Jordan Springs dentist will be able to discuss these with you.
